Quinnipiac University

History

From our beginning as a small college in New Haven in 1929 to our transformation to a national university with a college of arts and sciences and 8 professional schools on 3 campuses, we have stayed true to our mission of educating extraordinarily well-prepared professionals with a faculty whose primary role is to teach.

Education

In addition, we offer accelerated and dual-degree programs such as a 3+3 BA/JD degree, a 3+1 BS/MBA, a 6-year doctor of physical therapy, and many flexible online programs delivered through Quinnipiac University Online, which allows you to study at the same time you’re gaining valuable work experience. Moreover, our integrated curriculum allows students from different disciplines to study together and learn from each other. This distinctive combination reflects an extraordinary level of academic innovation. From our alumni satisfaction rates to our career placement rates and our license/certification rates, we demonstrate our effectiveness every day.

Campus life

Our Mount Carmel Campus is where undergraduate students first experience their new home away from home.

Our York Hill Campus features breathtaking, 360-degree views of New Haven, Long Island Sound, Sleeping Giant State Park and the surrounding rolling countryside. But more than that, it offers all of the comforts of home in state-of-the-art facilities including the Rocky Top Student Center, built to resemble a ski lodge with pine walls and exposed wooden beams.

Sports facilities

The Fitness Center/Weight Room is open to all Quinnipiac students, staff and faculty during normal hours of operation. The room contains a full line of free weights, strength, and cardiovascular equipment. The Fitness Center reception desk is staffed by undergraduate work-study students who can demonstrate how to use the equipment, but are not certified to develop individual workout programs.

Student clubs

Become a campus leader or join more than 140 recognized student clubs and organizations. Attend concerts and engage with guest speakers, and see movies and plays. Start an intramural team, join a Greek community, go out on Friday and Saturday nights. Try anything that sparks your interest — because everything is part of your quintessential student experience.
