John L. Lahey, PhD, became president of Quinnipiac in 1987. Further, President Lahey expanded Quinnipiac from a college to a university, which now has a college of arts & sciences and 8 professional schools, including the School of Law (1992), the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine (2013) and, our newest addition, the School of Engineering (2016).
In addition, we offer accelerated and dual-degree programs such as a 3+3 BA/JD degree, a 3+1 BS/MBA, a 6-year doctor of physical therapy, and many flexible online programs delivered through Quinnipiac University Online, which allows you to study at the same time you’re gaining valuable work experience. Moreover, our integrated curriculum allows students from different disciplines to study together and learn from each other. This distinctive combination reflects an extraordinary level of academic innovation. From our alumni satisfaction rates to our career placement rates and our license/certification rates, we demonstrate our effectiveness every day.
Our libraries promote a community of intellectual curiosity, strive for excellence in education, and facilitate the pursuit of scholarship through collaboration with students, faculty, and staff. Our librarians support students’ academic research and our resources provide a world of knowledge and diversity of viewpoints.
Public computers and internet access offered across libraries in campus.
We offer a range of services to support the health and well-being of our students. The highest priorities of the staff are to meet the acute health needs of the student population and to provide ongoing health education opportunities. The Mount Carmel Campus Health and Wellness Center, is staffed by a registered nurse 24 hours a day, while students are in residence (excluding the summer term).
For 40 years, Quinnipiac has been working with a single architect to create a cohesive, village-like experience with the sole purpose of fostering connection and community. Our three campuses, spread over 600 scenic acres, are, by design, places that nurture and inspire the sharing of knowledge, that invite vibrant activity and quiet reflection. Every detail has been considered with your full experience as a student in mind.
Become a campus leader or join more than 140 recognized student clubs and organizations. Attend concerts and engage with guest speakers, and see movies and plays.
