University of Michigan-Dearborn was founded in 1959 with a gift of just over 200 acres from the Ford Motor Company. Since then, we’ve grown as a comprehensive, top-ranked, regional public university.
At the University of Michigan-Dearborn, we offer more than 100 undergraduate majors and minors, and more than 40 graduate degree programs, many of which include flexible evening and online options. But your academic experience will extend beyond our small class sizes and challenging, relevant coursework.
The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs helps faculty connect to extraordinary funding opportunities that enable groundbreaking projects, like a recent $1 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy supporting CECS faculty and students as they bring advanced automotive technologies to the public.
Every year, our Career Services office helps students and alumni find full- and part-time positions within our partner organizations. Whether you aspire to be a mechanical engineer, financial adviser or biologist, we have the local, national and global connections to give you the experience and skills to succeed, wherever life takes you.
The Office of Student Life promotes holistic education through transformational student learning experiences. We foster an inclusive community, support student development and persistence, and prepare future leaders through diverse programming, services, and partnerships.
