Andrews University

Andrews University is the heartbeat of Adventist education. As a Christian school, we encourage strong moral principles and a close relationship with God. We believe in a holistic approach to life that balances body, mind and spirit in such a way that students are fully prepared to serve the world when they finish their studies.

History

From the very start, back in 1874, Andrews University has placed serious scholarship, quality research and a strong focus on practical Christianity first on the list of things we think are important about attendance at a Christian university. We started out small. Mr. Goodloe Bell, a teacher, started a tiny school with only 12 students in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Education

At Andrews University we believe in giving choices. We offer nearly 100 academic programs that prepare you to become a World Changer.

Research

Andrews University faculty, staff, and students are involved in a variety of research projects to the extent that U.S. News has ranked Andrews University as being an "overperforming" school. This means that we are doing much more than our reputation indicates. This is particularly true in the area of research, where peers do not realize just how much research and creative scholarship is going on here at Andrews.
