Founded in 1873, Southeast Missouri State University has a proud history of excellence in education. First founded as a teacher’s college, the institution has grown into a comprehensive University with more than 150 academic programs in five colleges. It was originally the primary structure on the campus, containing classrooms, a gymnasium and the library.
In addition to offering more than 145 undergraduate majors, 100 minors, and more than 75 graduate programs, Southeast continues to focus on staying ahead of changing market demands. Using technology to find new ways to feed the world is a top priority in agriculture, and industry professionals turn to our cybersecurity team to help defend against the latest cyber threats.
The mission of the Office is to provide institutional research and reporting services to clients both within and external to the University. These services support planning, accountability and continuous improvement processes throughout.
With a strong commitment to development and individual responsibility, the Office of Career Services is dedicated to assisting students and alumni in cultivating the life-long skills needed to successfully navigate their educational and career journeys.
Career Services assists students & alumni with major and career exploration, internship strategizing, career planning, and graduate school preparation. Throughout the academic year, we offer a variety of career workshops and events as well as career fairs designed to connect students with prospective employers.
The Office of Student Conduct (OSC) administers the Statement of Student Rights and Code of Student Conduct, which outlines the rights and responsibilities of the student body at Southeast. The OSC collaborates with a number of offices within the division of Enrollment Management & Student Success as well as the Department of Public Safety, the Department of Athletics, academic departments, and other campus units to support students in their educational efforts.

You’ll form better relationships with faculty, get more involved in campus life, earn better grades, and increase your likelihood to graduate on time. Whatever you do here, you won’t do it alone.
Your residence hall is your home away from home, and we want you to have all the same comforts (and more) as you had before you moved on campus. Enjoy:
