We’ve only been the PNW Pride since 2016, but our students have been making us proud since both campuses opened in the 1940s.
Our community of learning has everything you need to thrive. From accounting to physics, explore PNW's 70+ areas of study.
PNW faculty and students work together to answer important questions, from the origin of the universe to the best way to recruit math teachers.
Experts at research centers across the university collaborate to deepen our understanding of the world around us.
The mission of the Student Government Association is to be the voice of the students and create a strong and effective organization that empowers students. The Student Government Association:
Our Hammond campus offers apartment-style housing with private bedrooms for you and your 750 new best friends. You can walk everywhere — you’ll be steps from our fitness center and less than a mile from every building on campus.
University Village residence halls — Peregrine and Griffin — are at the center of many campus activities. Attend movie screenings, ice cream socials, game nights, and pancake study breaks without leaving home.
Purdue Northwest Library—your portal to library hours, staff, services and resources available for your research needs.
We offer from borrowing materials from other libraries to placing items for your students to use…even renewing books when you need a little more time.
We do more than you might think! From application support to security training, explore all the services IS offers.
The PNW community, including students, faculty and staff, has easy access to primary care with health-care facilities on our Hammond and Westville campuses.
Our community is full of contrasts: urban and rural, industrial and natural, well-established history and forward-thinking innovation. Our determined students — many of whom are the first in their families to attend college — make the most of this rich range of resources. Our Hammond campus is only 30 miles from Chicago and our Westville campus is only 15 miles from the Indiana Dunes National Park. Our impact also extends well beyond the region. Students from 30 states and 47 countries currently attend PNW, taking what they learn here and applying it all around the world.
PNW Fitness and Wellness provides a range of opportunities to improve and maintain your health! From intramurals to our fitness centers, you can always find ways to have fun and make progress.
From Spanish Club to our car-building Society of Automotive Engineers groups to student government, there are organizations for every passion and interest at PNW.
Purdue University Northwest is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
