History

On September 18, 1950, the Los Angeles Baptist Association opened the doors of California Baptist College in El Monte. The college began operations with 42 students in Fall 1950; 120 were enrolled during the 1950-51 academic year. In 1955, after four years of continued growth, the college relocated to larger facilities in Riverside.

Education

CBU helps students understand and engage this purpose by providing a Christ-centered educational experience that integrates academics with spiritual and social development opportunities. Graduates are challenged to become individuals whose skills, integrity and sense of purpose glorify God and distinguish them in the workplace and in the world.

Research

The University seeks to provide academic programs that prepare students for professional careers, as well as co-curricular programs that foster an environment supporting the intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development of each student. Within these arenas of the student experience the University, through its faculty and administration, has identified student outcomes as desirable and reflective of the impact it seeks to have in the lives of its students.

Career

The Career Center is open and committed to providing services to our students. Online appointments, resources, and upcoming events can be found here on our website.

The Career Center prepares students to identify and engage in their chosen professions with excellence and integrity. We serve as a connection between education and a student’s career objectives by providing students with opportunities and resources for professional career development.

Curriculum

I like UABC because has a well-designed program that integrates all of the members of our society with their own cultures and embraces them into a beneficial environment, where everyone can get along and express their ideas loudly.

You get what you pay for

The university is not terribly expensive but the quality of education leaves something to be desired. While some of the teacher were pretty good, a lot of them were kind of meh. There's a lack of on-campus dining and a library was closed the whole time I attended which was a real hindrance. However, the gym facilities were actually pretty decent. Admin staff were pretty good for the most part.
