Founded in 1878 as Ashland College, the name of the institution was changed to Ashland University on May 12, 1989. This change was a practical and logical step based on the many diverse undergraduate, graduate and professional programs offered by the institution.
Ashland University’s Graduate School aspires to a goal of academic excellence by setting high standards for our post-baccalaureate programs. By combining conceptual learning with theoretical reasoning, our programs provide experiential knowledge; student-instructor research-collaboration; relevant course work; and personal academic support.

Sport clubs are student-led, student-run organizations which typically compete with other university or town sponsored sport clubs or teams and travel to different events/games throughout the year. Sport Clubs typically involve more organized competition than intramural sports and may involve playoff components at the conclusion of the season. The level of competition varies from club to club, and some clubs are purely recreational in nature. I am currently studying at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, and overall my experience has been positive. The university provides a disciplined academic environment with a strong focus on learning and professional development. The faculty members are generally supportive and knowledgeable, and the courses encourage both theoretical understanding and practical application. I also appreciate the diversity of students and the opportunities to develop communication and teamwork skills. One of the strengths of the university is its reputation in technical and professional education in Bangladesh. At the same time, academic expectations can be demanding, which may feel challenging but helps students stay focused. Areas that could improve include expanding student activities, strengthening industry connections, and increasing access to modern facilities in some departments. Overall, I would recommend this university to students who are looking for a serious academic environment and are willing to work consistently toward their goals.
1. Small campus. Less space for recreational activities. (Authorities are working on it though. 2. Have to be regular to Excel in academics. 3. The weekly routine can be tiring sometimes. 4. One can achieve very well results by Being attentive in classes and studying smartly. 5. Very hard to recover if a semester is dropped.
My experience at this university has been deeply rewarding. What I appreciate most is the balance between rigorous academic theory and practical application. Being involved in professional internships while studying has allowed me to apply complex concepts—from optimization to digital strategy—directly to the industry. The collaborative environment among students is a major strength. However, I believe the curriculum could benefit from more focus on the latest marketing automation tools and CRM workflows. Overall, it is a challenging yet supportive institution that prepares you to become a versatile professional.
