History
George Fox is the oldest Christian university in Oregon. More than 125 years ago, evangelical Quaker pioneers helped settle the rich and fruitful Chehalem Valley of Oregon, which is now known for its premier vineyards.

Today, George Fox is Oregon's nationally recognized Christian university, providing students with personal attention, global opportunities to learn and serve, and a support community that encourages academic rigor and spiritual growth.
Career
"Earning while learning" is a financial necessity for some and an integral part of the university experience for others. George Fox employs over 750 students every semester. In addition to the income, students have found that campus employment:

Student services
Here in Student Accounts, we recognize the challenges students and their families face in financing the cost of attending college, and are committed to assisting families through the process. We will walk with students and their families through each step of their journey to graduation. Our mission is to serve each individual with compassion and respect.
Housing services
Prime locations for community to form, our residence halls and suites are primarily reserved for first-year students and sophomores. Floors range from 16 students to 28 with a shared bathroom, kitchen and lobby.
Apartments provide a more intimate setting for our juniors and seniors. These spaces come equipped with living, dining, kitchen and bathroom areas. Our apartments range from two to six people.
Library services
George Fox University Libraries serve currently enrolled students, faculty and staff, as well as alumni and members of the general public.
Campus life
George Fox is ideally situated in the heart of the beautiful Willamette Valley in Newberg, rated among the top five "safest cities in Oregon" by SafeWise, a community-focused safety organization. We are just 23 miles south of Portland, Oregon’s largest city and cultural center. Discover museums, Saturday Market, the Waterfront, and don’t forget to catch a Trail Blazers game. We also have sites in Portland, Salem and Redmond, Oregon.

At George Fox University, we give students the opportunity to participate in a competitive and team-centric athletic environment while being mentored, challenged and affirmed by coaches who are deeply committed to a loving God. Bruins are born competitors, and we firmly believe that being competitive and being Christ-like are not incompatible goals. There's no better place to play Division III sports than George Fox University.
Student clubs
George Fox offers a variety of student-initiated clubs to fit student interests. We invite you to take part in these clubs or even start your own! Clubs truly allow students to express their passions and interests, develop leadership and management skills, and have a ton of fun!
