The campaign to locate Delta State in Cleveland began several years before the doors opened for the first summer session in 1925. There is evidence that the subject was brought up for discussion as early as 1910. Senator Roberts would eventually take the idea all the way to the State House floor. Ultimately, the efforts of many people would lead to the start of a new institution.

Okra Kard holders have access to all of the Forest E. Wyatt Center Facilities. These include the natatorium, fitness center, basketball gym, racquetball courts, and tennis courts.Community members may also purchase an Okra Kard to use these facilities. There is a range of membership fees and packages to choose from, and may be purchased at the Student Business Services office in Kent Wyatt Hall.
Delta State University has over 100 registered Student Organizations; there is something for everyone here at DSU! Student Organizations cover a wide range of topics and interest areas, including but not limited to: academic, political, racial/ethnic, religious, social fraternities and sororities, sports and leisure, and honor societies.

Dixie is a good school in a nice location. The area is beautiful and there's a lot of outdoor activities to do. Class sizes are small and tuition is affordable. Faculty are generally hands on and helpful. More areas of study would be great. Overall a positive college experience.
It is an overall enjoyable experience. My least favorite thing about Delta College is that some classes can feel overcrowded at times, which makes it harder to get one to one support. Aside from that, the instructors are very good, and the programme provides a solid foundation in law and public policy. I feel I'll be well prepared to transfer and continue my studies after completing the degree.
Daytona State College offers a strong mix of affordability, flexibility, and quality education, making it a great choice for many students. With small class sizes and supportive professors, students often receive more personalized attention than at larger universities. The college provides a wide range of programs and they have multiple locations which allows you to study from a location closest to you or study online. I will admit that their Science professors are very slim � some might not be the best but I don�t discourage you from going.
