Dania Academy, University of Applied Sciences

History

With nearly 2500 full-time students, of which 300 are international, and a high number of part-time students, we play an important role in the Danish Higher Education sector.

Dania Academy officially opened on 1 January 2009 and has around 175 full-time employees.

Education

We are a Danish Academy offering higher education programmes focused on applied degrees within technology, IT, business and health. Five of our 23 programmes are taught in English.

Research

The research centre and academic environment cooperate with external interests, companies and organisations while simultaneously involving our educational programmes, in order to link newly acquired knowledge with physical practise. The end result providing; graduates, who can put their theoretical knowledge into practise in the business world.

Career

As a student at Dania you have the opportunity to receive professional career and internship counselling in accordance with your needs, skills and competencies.

Student services

The main object of the student coaching is to support you in your studies, to give you advice on how to plan and structure your work, on how to act in a group and get the most out of group work, on different approaches to your studies, and to mediate in conflicts that may arise in connection with your studies at Dania.

Housing services

We offer on-campus accommodation for students in a safe and convenient environment for living, studying and socializing. Some students prefer off-campus housing for more independence. We can also help finding nearby apartment buildings.

Campus life

The students in Campus Viborg will soon benefit from a brand new study environment. The investment is aiming to improve students’ satisfaction levels regarding their education. A team of experts is on the verge of completing the innovative project.

Sports facilities

Campus Viborg students have access to the building's gym where students often organize sports competitions, zumba and dancing classes and many more.

Accreditation

Dania Academy received a favorable institutional accreditation on 25 June 2018. The distinction is the highest Danish quality stamp an educational institution can achieve and is awarded by the Danish Accreditation Institution that secures and develops quality and relevance in higher education degrees and institutions.
