A lot can happen over the course of nearly 150 years, and Grove City College’s rich history reflects that. But some things never change. The principles and values that the College was founded to advance are the same ones we hold fast to today, and our commitment to providing the best liberal arts and sciences education in the country is as strong now as it was in 1876.
The reason we go to college is to learn. But at Grove City College, we don’t just teach out of textbooks. Our signature liberal arts curriculum provides students with a unified Christian worldview across the arts and sciences, while our major programs prepare students to become leaders across a wide range of career and professional fields.
Grove City College professors are accomplished scholars with active research agendas. Our faculty invite students to leadership roles in their research, working and publishing alongside them. This mentorship is dynamic, afforded by the small college context, enabling students to gain hands-on experience and expertise.
Our 11 residence halls are staffed by full-time professional Residence Directors (RDs) and nearly 90 student Resident Assistants (RAs). RDs and RAs are relationally focused and work diligently to provide a quality living and learning experience for students. Our staff also works closely with the Academic Resource Center to holistically support students, including assisting students with special housing needs.
The more than 130,000 books are only the beginning when you enter the doors of Buhl Library. Students will find a dynamic environment full of vast information in many forms – e-books, audiovisual materials, online citation and full-text and reference databases, and librarians ready to help.
Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for planning, implementing, and maintaining the College’s technology infrastructure and services as well as the 1:1 Student Information Technology Initiative which equips all full-time students with a technology package that includes a convertible-hybrid PC and printer.
We believe that extracurricular activities are as integral to student experience as academic pursuits; in fact, each informs the other. That’s why we place emphasis on a dynamic on-campus living environment chock full of a multitude of student-led community groups and organizations, extensive programming and learning resources to enrich you at Grove City College.
Our Physical Learning Center facility includes with six racquetball courts, two swimming pools, an indoor running track, a basketball and volleyball arena, a 36,000 square-foot intramural room, and a 9,000-square-foot fitness room replete with weights and cardio equipment. Truly, you can get the workout of your choice within these walls.
The community of students who call this place home is truly something special. Grovers care about - and for - each other on our residential campus. And we have more than 150 student organizations so there's something for everyone. Discover where you belong.
