History

The football industry has developed tremendously over the past years and continues its spectacular rise as witnessed by increases in TV rights deals, transfer numbers, and participation levels, to name just a few, around the world. Sadly, due to a lack of professionalism, transparency and ethics a lot of scandals keep taking place and more fans and stakeholders than ever are demanding change.

Education

The 12 months in the Professional Master in The Football Business from Football Business Academy are divided into 4 modules:

Module 1 - 3 months online classes.
Module 2 - 3 months online classes.
Module 3 - 3 months of Guaranteed Internship in the football industry.
Module 4 - 2 months in Lisbon, Portugal with on-site classes. You will complete a Student Business Project (SBP) which is a real consulting case for one of our partners. Also, it includes some Field Trips around Europe where we take the students to different stadiums and clubs.

Research

The SBP will be sanctioned by one of our Partner Network members and will give Candidates the opportunity to work in teams on a real project given by a football club, federation, or other football-related organization, thereby allowing them to keep moving forward into the football industry.

Career

The Football Business Academy boasts an impressive 91% employability rate. The core focus of the Master’s program is to ensure that candidates transition smoothly into the workforce upon graduation. The Academy goes above and beyond to support students in securing a job as quickly as possible after completing their studies.

Alumni are currently working for companies such as UEFA, NWSL, Coca-Cola, Puma, New York Red Bulls, Liga Portugal, Liverpool FC, socios.com or world class football agencies such as Avid Sports & Entertainment (representing players such as Aaron Ramsey) and Entourage Sports & Entertainment (working with players such as Roberto Carlos, Lionel Messi or Sadio Mané).

The Football Business Academy and Nova School of Business & Economics have an agreement designed to bring a part of The FBA’s Professional Master in Football Business to Nova SBE’s campus, while also foster the exchange of know-how and intercultural experiences.

Having access to a modern 90,000 square meter campus such as the one Nova SBE has will enhance the experience significantly.
