Benefits of Living on Campus
The Cecchini Center contains two gym floors and hosts the Cavaliers' men's basketball, women's basketball, and volleyball games. Alumni Arena, Walsh's newest venue, opened in the fall of 2009 and hosts the basketball games as well as select on campus events such as graduation, intramurals, and summer camps. It features six scoreboards (one on each end in the corner and four in the center above midcourt), the main court with an option of two full-size courts with bleachers in, and six basketball hoops. It seats approximately 2,000 people for basketball games. In 2017, the floor was completely redesigned for the first time to feature the new logo at midcourt.
Our student clubs and organizations provide an opportunity for leadership, growth and engagement in a student driven environment. Walsh has over 50 different student organizations on campus providing countless opportunities to meet new people, become leaders in service to others, and well as make meaningful connections to our campus community.
Walsh is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission (hlcommission.org), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) is an independent corporation and one of six regional institutional accreditors in the United States.
