History

Founded in 1827, Lindenwood is a dynamic four-year institution dedicated to excellence in higher education. Our historic campus is situated in the heart of St. Charles, Mo., a growing community of more than 65,000 just west of St. Louis.

Education

Lindenwood is an independent institution firmly rooted in Judeo-Christian values. Those values include belief in an ordered, purposeful universe, the dignity of work, the worth and integrity of the individual, the obligations and privileges of citizenship, and the primacy of truth.

Career

The mission of the Lindenwood Career Center is to provide resources and support to students and alumni as they prepare to make career plans and transitions for a lifetime. We continually strive to cultivate strong relationships with employers, faculty, and community members by establishing a link between education and the world of work. The Career Center provides a full array of services and plans career events to help set you on the path toward career success.

Student services

The Help Desk, located in the Library and Academic Resources Center (LARC), serves as the single point of contact for all information technology services; including, computer, applications, network, audio-visual, email, telephone, and cable television services.

Housing services

Lindenwood offers a wide variety of choices for students who opt to live on campus. Available are traditional style dorms and non-traditional, off-campus apartments and houses for upperclassman. You'll also enjoy exciting new meal options in the Lindenwood University dining halls.

Library services

Lindenwood Library serves as an academic and cultural hub, providing a one-stop-shop for students in their research careers at Lindenwood University. We are located in the new Library and Academic Resources Center (LARC) next to First Capitol. Library materials and resources are available for students, faculty, and staff members to use.

ICT services

Lindenwood IT provides relevant, secure, reliable and integrated technology solutions in alignment with academic and administrative goals, while delivering excellence in customer service.

Medical services

The Student Health Center with services provided by BarnesCare, a division of BJC HealthCare, serves on-campus students for a variety of medical conditions, from flu-like symptoms and minor injuries to physical examinations and immunizations. The clinic has an on-site nurse practitioner to confidentially assist students with their healthcare needs.

Campus life

Affordable Lindenwood community

LU is a pretty great school in the Midwest. Definitely affordable and caters to the needs of the student. As a transfer student, they have been highly accommodating of my needs on campus especially. The university itself isn't all that old, so the classrooms aren't too shabby and are well-maintained for the most part. I have no personal experiences with the dorms, but from what I can tell they are average at best as many other universities are. They recently made a move from a D2 to a D1 school, which is major for the athletes. They have many sport options as well, and the teams aren't too bad. The social scene is a bit different than other schools as the campus is a mix of transfers, living-on-campus people, and commuter students. Overall would recommend this school as I have been to three different universities, and Lindenwood is pretty good.

Supportive teaching excellence

Overall a very good school with amazing professors! I can confidently say that if I ever had a problem that I needed assistance with whether that be education related or personal, I know that I can go to any of the professors and they would use all of their resources to help me in any way that they could.

It's fine

I'm a remote student, so don't have any experience with being on the campus. My program is fine. But I do wish I learned more skills specific to tasks in marketing rather than just doing general concepts. Overall it is a good school.
