Research

Research is a critical component of a college education that improves your critical thinking, writing, and professional skills. That’s why it’s part of the Heidelberg experience. You’ll work one-on-one with professors who help you through the steps of conducting research, analyzing results, writing papers, and getting it all published.

The Heidelberg community supports and celebrates research in several ways including our annual Student Research Conference, senior honors projects, and unique research opportunities such as our cadaver lab, animal lab, and the National Center for Water Quality Research.

Career

Heidelberg University is a student-focused community with a significant commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty, staff, and students. Individuals who value, demonstrate, and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion are preferred candidates for Heidelberg’s vacant positions. Additionally, we are seeking faculty who want to contribute as able and interested to the University’s initiatives to improve our student recruitment, engagement, retention, success, persistence, graduation, and placement.

Molecular Biology: Challenging but Rewarding

The Molecular Biology course at Heidelberg University was demanding but incredibly rewarding. The lab sessions were particularly engaging and helped me apply the theoretical concepts learned in class. The professors passion for the subject was inspiring, though some of the lecture materials could have been better organized.
