Greenville University

About

History

Greenville University (formerly Greenville College) was founded in 1892 by the Free Methodist Church with the intent to provide a distinctive, Christ-centered university education for men and women.

Education

Greenville University provides a quality liberal arts education for over 1,200 students. We offer over 50 undergraduate majors as well as adult and graduate programs available online or at partnership locations. Our distinguished academic programs, caring faculty, and genuine Christian community are transforming the lives of students from around the globe.

Research

For nearly 60 years, our Engineering Dual Degree students have seen great success at two of the best engineering schools in the country. Greenville University offers a unique program that allows students to earn a Physics, Chemistry or Biology degree from Greenville University along with an Engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign or Washington University in St. Louis. 98% of students who have transferred to either of these institutions under the Engineering Dual Degree program have successfully completed their engineering degree.

Career

The Office of Career Services experientially educates all Greenville University students including Organizational Leadership, UTEP, Graduate, commuter and residential students, to respond to God's calling on their lives to be Christ centered leaders during their college careers and beyond.

Services

Student services

By providing strong academic support services, Student Success strives to enrich the academic experience for all Greenville College students and assist them in reaching their full potential. Student Success provides tutoring, academic coaching, Academic Boot Camp, academic advising, and other academic resources to all students.

Housing services

There are several residence halls on campus. Men and women are housed in separate halls. Each room in a residence hall contains furniture including a desk, dresser, and bed for each student. The furniture is designed to be flexible in arrangement. A closet for hanging clothes is also built into each room.

Typically, two students are assigned to a room. Occasionally, there will be three. Every effort is made to assign international students to a room with only one other student and to assign international students with an American roommate.

Library services

Greenville University Library offers a number of services to our faculty. These include providing research assistance for you and your students, teaching information literacy/fluency sessions, placing materials on reserve, selecting books, creating subject guides, and more.

ICT services

Within the campus, you can find the Information Technology Service and Support Center.

Medical services

Greenville University, in cooperation with Greenville doctors and HSHS Holy Family Hospital, has arranged for excellent medical services for all of its students. Both students and their families can be assured that when medical needs arise, ample care is available. Greenville University enjoys a close relationship with local doctors and the hospital, which is located just a few blocks from campus.
