Founded in 1899 by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, the College has a strong tradition of concern for the poor, for developing leadership in a spirit of service and social responsibility, and a commitment to the promotion of women as full partners in society.
The College is proud to offer a large variety of programs to meet the challenges of the 21st century:
The Office of Career Services is dedicated to helping students and alumni connect to the majors, internships, jobs and graduate/professional schools that will advance their careers.
The Office of International and Multicultural Affairs was established to help students at the College of Saint Elizabeth, and all members of the CSE community recognize, experience and celebrate the diverse student population that we serve. Experiencing the many cultures that exist in the United States and abroad is a reflection of CSE's mission.
Founders Hall, built in 1966, is located directly across from Santa Rita Hall. This residence hall accommodates approximately 160 full-time undergraduate students on four residential floors and houses the Office of Residence Life.
Amenities include:
The library is both a physical place and a 24/7 digital toolkit. The building houses the Library, the Conklin Academic Success Center, Accessibility Services, and the College Archives. On the main floor you'll find the circulation desk, the research help desk, our collections of encyclopedias and print periodicals. The upper level is for the book collection, rare book and college archives.
The College of Saint Elizabeth provides a number of technology services through the Office of Information Technology. IT offers a range of academic and administrative support services for the CSE campus community.
The CSE health service promotes comprehensive health and wellness, which includes health promotion, disease prevention, treatment for illness and injuries, consultations and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, and referrals to appropriate healthcare resources.
Our beautiful 200-acre campus is less than an hour's train ride away from one of the greatest cities in the world - New York City. From interning at sites such as HBO and The Today Show to shopping at some of the world's most famous stores, CSE students have plenty of opportunities to explore the city.
