Founded in 1894 by The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, Concordia University, Nebraska is a private, coeducational institution of higher learning. The main campus is located in Seward, Neb. (population 7,000), about 25 miles west of Lincoln, the state capitol. The graduate school and degree completion program are based in Lincoln.

Concordia is primarily a residential university, which creates an incredible community and opportunities for you to grow and develop. By living on campus, you can learn to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people, make lifelong friendships, become more independent and discover new insights about yourself and others. Our residence hall staff, consisting of nearly 50 RAs and RCs, is trained and passionate about helping you make the most of your time in college, navigate challenges that arise and grow during your time on campus.
The original part of the library consists of about 18,000 square feet, was completed in 1960, and was named in honor of J. T. Link, longtime professor at Concordia. The general book collection occupies the major portion of the lower level, which also houses the college archives and the Bartels Rock and Mineral Museum.
Concordia's health center services are available to all students, full and part-time, at no cost. The health center is dedicated to providing basic, high quality, holistic health care that is easily accessible and responsive to your health needs. We also strive to encourage your continued growth in health care consumerism.
The Physical Education Center, dedicated in 1960, has been home to Concordia athletics for decades. The P.E. Building went under renovations to better accommodate student-athletes, coaches and visiting teams and were completed in the summer of 2015.
