History

Tiffin University was established in 1888 and now offers nationally accredited graduate and undergraduate degrees in Business Administration, top-notch bachelor's and master's degrees in Criminal Justice and Social Sciences, and distinctive degrees in the Arts and Sciences. 

Education

Research

The Office of Institutional Research (IR) at Tiffin University was established in 2003 as a separate entity to coordinate institutional research activities under one umbrella. Among the responsibilities of IR are (a) collecting and analyzing data, (b) completing/administering routine external and internal surveys, and (c) complying with federal and state educational requirements. Thus, the department serves as a comprehensive source for information about Tiffin University.

Career

The Tiffin University Career Services Office empowers students and alumni by providing guidance during their career development process by linking knowledge to professional practice through comprehensive resources and programs, designed to promote successful employer connections.

Student services

The Center for International Affairs includes the international student undergraduate and graduate admissions and international scholarships awards for talented students all over the world, extended international education, global cooperation and articulation linkages that augment campus internationalization, foreign credit evaluation, study abroad and student/scholars services and programs (which include immigration counseling, foreign faculty/staff affairs, and academic and cross-cultural advising).

Housing services

All Residence Halls are equipped with:

  • XL twin bed and mattress
  • dresser
  • desk and chair
  • wardrobe or closet space for each student

The following are also important qualities of living on campus:

  • Access to laundry equipment is available. No quarters or swipe card needed.
  • Each hall floor or house has a lounge equipped with a television and microwave.
  • Wireless internet access is available in all residential halls.
  • Access to Residence Life Cinema, a collection of free movies available to stream on your computer, tablet, or phone. 

Library services

Pfeiffer Library offers highest quality access to the Tiffin University community. Faculty, staff, and students have access to millions of scholarly materials for their research and professional needs. Whether you are looking to check out a book, read an ebook, obtain a peer-reviewed journal article, or request material through interlibrary loan, Pfeiffer Library is happy to help.

Medical services

Tiffin University knows that every student is an individual, with individual needs. In the event that a student needs mental health counseling and/or referral services, we are available with the real resources and connections to help.

TU’s Wellness and Counseling Center is dedicated to addressing the emotional and mental health needs of students at Tiffin University.

The main campus in Tiffin is a beautiful 135-acre blend of traditional historic and modern buildings that create a vibrant and warm home for an educational community.
