The GHU was founded in 2018 and is recognized as a private university with the awarding power of bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in the fields of Business Administration, Finance, and Law by the Higher Education Licensing Board (HELB) of the Ministry of Education in Anguilla. The GHU student council helps share students' ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and school principals. They often also help raise funds for schoolwide activities, including social events, community projects, helping people in need and school reform.
The BSc, MSc, MBA, DBA and PhD programs are accredited by the AAC – the local accreditation agency. The programs are also accredited by the ACBSP in the USA and AQAS in Germany. The GHU is a Member of CIQG and is accredited as an associate member of INQAAHE. It is also very important to note that the GHU is listed in EQAR. The Global Humanistic University has been officially included in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 1001+ and has been ranked under the top 600+ in the category “Quality Education”.
