History
Doane University is the first private, liberal arts institution in Nebraska, nestled on an idyllic 300 acre “English Cottage” style Osterhout Arboretum. Established in 1872, Doane University embraces our founder’s spirit to immerse each student in knowledge that represents only the very best of what has been written, thought, spoken or performed throughout the ages.
