Founded as the Institut de Formation de Gestionnaire de Patrimoine (IFGP) in 1995, the school’s initial mission was to provide instruction to private bankers in Switzerland. Broadening its mission and curriculum, the IFGP created in 2001 the University of Finance to provide education in international banking and finance, not only to bankers but to students as well.
The brand name was finally changed in 2010 to Geneva Business School to highlight the importance of the campus location and its newfound purpose to teach a full business administration and finance curriculum of graduate and post-graduate courses
GBS offers bachelors’, masters’, and doctoral degrees in Finance and Business Administration with seven different majors focusing, among other specializations, on the international, geopolitical and digital aspects of management, marketing, and entrepreneurship.
Geneva Business School believes that teaching and research are mutually supporting. We recruit highly qualified faculty who can bring their work alive in the classroom and bridge the gap between academia and business practice. Taking advantage of our global reach, we encourage our faculty to work on projects that involve international collaboration, exchanges, and dialogue.
Each GBS campus has a dedicated support services team and take pride in ensuring that every student is catered for. This starts from the point of application to GBS leading through to their graduation day and beyond, as a proud GBS Alumni.
With the help and assistance of the Student Council, GBS organizes and supports sports, cultural and social activities throughout the academic year.
As a Business School, it is paramount for us to maintain strongs ties between students, encourage team spirit and personal development.
Every campus has its own way of organizing these activities, which also offer an alternative way to meet new people and network with organizations.
