The University has roots going back more than 100 years. In 1899, Kingston Technical Institute opens, offering courses ranging from Chemistry, Electric Wiring and Building Construction to Nursing, Dressmaking and Clay Modelling.

All full time postgraduate students are eligible to book a room in Kingston University's halls of residence. Furthermore, for all new full-time first year international postgraduate students we guarantee an offer of accommodation. Booking information will be available from March 2018; once you firmly accept your offer you will be sent an email with further instructions. Please note that we work with a number of approved private providers to ensure alternative accommodation is available, in the unlikely event that our own halls are fully occupied.
Members of the public and visitors who are not in higher education are welcome to make use of the library service on a reference-only basis for free.
As a reference only visitor, you can access print resources, for example, books, journals and use study spaces in the library abiding by the library policies, agreements and regulations.
Most rooms in Kingston University's halls of residence provide between two to four wired network ports and unrestricted wireless connection (maximum five devices) to our Kingston University halls of residence network.
The University Health Centre offers a wide range of services, including sexual health clinics, sports injuries clinics, health advice and vaccinations. You can also access free counselling and stress management workshops. Complementary therapies on offer include: aromatherapy, osteopathy, reflexology, sports massage.
