History
We are one of the oldest psychoanalytic institutions and training centres in the world, founded in 1913. Our Alumni include Wilfred Bion, Donald Winnicott, Anna Freud and Melanie Klein.
Education
In 2016, we created our Online Education portal, a space where our long tradition of outstanding teaching meets with the latest technology thus bridging the time and space barriers of face to face teaching. The aim of Online Education is to provide a flexible path into psychoanalysis. We want to respond to the ever changing reality that we live in by providing tailored training plans with opportunities for progression and ongoing support from our dedicated team. Our courses are designed and supervised by senior members of our Society, and are reviewed often so as to ensure ongoing quality.
Library services
We are proud to welcome you to the BPAS Library, home to the finest collection of psychoanalytic material in the world. We have nearly 22,000 volumes, ranging from the mid-19th century to the present day.
