In 2016, Brunel celebrated 50 years as a university. Today, the university is proud to have over 139,000 alumni around the world, with 3,309 currently engaged in postgraduate and research study. The university prides itself on its approach, combining academic rigour with the practical, enterprising, and innovative methods pioneered by its namesake Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
