Education

Each partner university has designed a complete learning experience, presented by leading academics in their field. Rather than broadcast long classroom lectures, ideas are introduced via high quality videos and articles.

You can then discuss what you’ve learned, testing your new knowledge with interactive quizzes that offer helpful responses and the opportunity to try again if an answer is wrong. Every course tells a story, step by step, with challenges and helpful tips along the way, to test and build your understanding.

Career

Whether you’re considering a new job, promotion or you want to improve your existing skills, FutureLearn has a career advice and free online courses from some of the world’s top universities and organisations to help you achieve your goals.

Why I Love the University of Leeds

Overall, my experience at the University of Leeds has been amazing, I have met so many new people that I would never have met before. At first, I did struggle with settling in, as I was so far away from home and campus was very confusing, but after a while, I did get the hang of it and settled in. Another thing I love about the University is that its in a city, and there is so much to see and do so you wont really be bored. I study graphics and communication design, and the tutors are very friendly and approachable, they always answer any questions I have and provide me with useful feedback.

the way i love it

The way of teaching at the University of Reading, in my opinion, encourages students to be engaged in their own education. You are urged to independently investigate and study subjects in order to completely understand them, rather than being given all the knowledge. This method, in my opinion, has been really helpful and will be very helpful to me in my future coursework. I had a good overall experience at Reading University. Counselors, resources for help, and support networks were all easily accessible. In order to make things more comfortable for students, I also valued the range of courses and flexible schedule possibilities provided.

I feel Ive learnt a lot

I feel Ive learnt a great deal in this degree programme, covering both arts and science subjects. I hadnt expected that; Im currently in the second year of my undergraduate degree. Although there arent many exams, its still enough to give me a headache for a while. Overall, though, the courses are quite interesting; it would be nice if there were more practical modules.
