Established in 1967, Conestoga now serves approximately 23,000 registered students through campuses and training centres in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford, Ingersoll and Brantford and is a provincial leader in apprenticeship training. Continuing education programs attract approximately 30,000 enrolments each year.


The comprehensive range of programming meets the needs of a variety of learners, providing multiple entry points and established pathways to ensure that individuals across our community can access the education they need for their chosen careers. 


At Conestoga, applied research drives collaboration, empowers industry and community partners and gives students the opportunity to learn and grow in rich experiential learning environments.Conestoga is a leader in applied research, and we're still growing. Over the past five years, the college and its public and private partners have committed over $35 million to support applied research and innovation.

Student services

According to Conestoga’s International Office, the goal of homestay program is to create an enriching, rewarding and educational experience for both students and their host families. Students stay with their host families at least two months, with most choosing to stay four to six months. Some students form a close attachment with their host families and might stay for years. Many students, especially those from China, Japan and Korea, are in the English Language Studies program, but international students in degree programs can also choose homestay.

Housing services

There are many housing options for you to choose from depending on your needs and preferences. Be sure to find a place close to your campus and easily accessible by regular and frequent public transit.

  • On-campus residence facilities are offered to students at our Kitchener - Doon and Cambridge campuses, subject to availability. Students at other campuses must find off-campus or homestay placements.
  • The most common ways to secure off-campus rentals and find roommates are searching on rental listing websites and networking through local family, friends and current Conestoga College students.

  • Guelph campus
Conestoga’s Guelph campus, located in the northwest end of the city, is a provincial leader in education and training for the motive power trades, including automotive, truck and coach, heavy equipment, recreational vehicles and motorcycles.
  • Waterloo campus

The John W. Tibbits campus in Waterloo provides a range of programs related to skilled trades, hospitality and culinary arts training, information and communications technology as well as academic upgrading, English Language Studies and career-focused programs.

  • Brantford campus
The Brantford campus offers diploma, certificate and graduate degree programming in business, community services, liberal studies and trades.
