History
Luiss Guido Carli has its origins in an earlier institution: Pro Deo University, founded in 1966. In 1974 a group of entrepreneurs led by Umberto Agnelli decided to invest human and financial resources in an innovative educational project. Luiss adopted a new educational approach, moving in the direction of top-notch international universities.
Education
The distinctive educational method of Luiss is enquiry-based, “lifelarge learning”. Luiss offers unique opportunities for academic, personal, and professional growth and development. Luiss employs strategies that enhance the synergies between scholarly research and student education, including the implementation of an innovative education model that puts students’ questions and critical thinking skills at the center of all activities.
A richer, broader evolution of lifelong learning, this distinctive educational philosophy offers unique opportunities for growth and enhancement academically, personally, and professionally.
