History
The Lambton College story begins, however, not in the community itself, but when a delegation from Sarnia-Lambton headed to Toronto in 1965 to answer the call of William G. Davis, Ontario’s then Minister of Education, who had recently announced his vision of a college system that would revolutionize post-secondary education across the province.
Education

Research
The Research & Innovation department at Lambton College specializes in working with small to medium sized businesses (SMEs) as well as organizations from a variety of sectors in many research areas.
Career
- Co-op & Career Services is focused on providing effective, high quality services for Lambton College students, alumni, faculty and co-op employers. It is our mandate to find empowering and supportive ways to help students and alumni define and achieve their experiential learning, career and employment goals.
- Through outstanding customer service and effective use of technology, students can find support in implementing career goals through professional development opportunities and finding the proper channels to successfully connect with potential employers.
Student services
- The Accessibility Team is available to help you via confidential email, phone and video conference. We offer counselling, accommodation planning, learning strategies and assistive technology instruction, as well as other accessibility supports and advocacy for students.
- Online and in-class models of course delivery may impact your academic learning and accommodation needs. We are here to discuss any academic challenges or accessibility questions you may have. We can help you develop an individual success plan with services that address your specific accommodation and learning needs.
Housing services
- The residence is located on campus and it is a five-minute walk from classes. It is also centrally located and close to retail outlets, restaurants, movie theatres, grocery stores and public transit. Accommodations are shared double rooms and each room has its own washroom.
- Sarnia has a variety of off campus rental options including single homes and apartments. Students wishing to live off-campus should research vacancy availability and consider having roommates to help ease the costs associated with housing. It is also quite common for students to sign at least a one-year lease. International students can choose from many options for on and off-campus housing.
Library services
Library Services are available in the Teaching & Learning Commons (TLC). Students, employees and the community are welcome to visit. The TLC is a great place to access:
- In-person and online resources
- Research tools and strategies
- Information about improving your internet search abilities
Medical services
Our Health & Wellness Centre include a full-time registered nurse who is available and students can also make appointments with two nurse practitioners who visit the college weekly.

Lambton College is primarily located in Sarnia, Ontario but also has international student campuses in Mississauga, Toronto and China. Since 1967, Lambton College has worked in partnership with the community to create a region of innovators, working together to strengthen the local economy, and meet industry demand for skilled employees. Accreditation
Preliminary Accreditation - the Massage Therapy program at Lambton College has been granted Preliminary Accreditation, the first step in the CMTCA accreditation process.

Realistic overview of the Canadian Workplace
Studying at Lambton College has allowed me to get to know the Canadian industry in a more realistic way. By listening to the professors and guest speakers, I have been able to understand and identify the differences with my own country in order to adapt as quickly as possible. Although some topics are repeated from course to course, they are concepts that we need to understand very well and internalize.
