"Gothenburg University College" was established in 1891 with the help of private donations. The first classes were held by seven professors teaching seven subjects to twenty-one students, four of whom were women.
In 1907 it became an independent university college with the same status as the two national universities of Uppsala and Lund.

Unfortunately, the University of Gothenburg doesn't have a gym or swimming pool nor does it host any yoga classes. You can find a swimming pool at Chalmers, but only Chalmers Student Union members can use it.

I really liked the diversity of the courses and the availability of the professors. I could always get the help needed and the clear programme structure made the experience enjoyable. The exchange process when I went abroad could have been improved as it felt like much info had to be found on my own.
