As one of the entities within the Sunway Education Group, Sunway University has rapidly grown into a leading brand name in Malaysia’s higher education sector, gaining a name for itself as a high-quality private, not-for-profit institution. Sunway University was established in 2004 as Sunway University College. The Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education upgraded it to full university status in January 2011, when it became Sunway University.
Our academic programmes include a broad range of diplomas, bachelors' degrees, masters' degrees, and doctoral degrees. We also offer some short courses. All of our programmes have been designed to meet industry needs and give optimal employment or further study opportunities. Many of our degree programmes also lead to degrees of Lancaster University, UK (please refer to the highlighted programmes). Some programmes also include preparation for the professional exams of certain professional bodies or exemptions from such exams for professional body recognition.
Our research enables us to contribute to the economic and social development of the nation and ensures that our academic staff keep abreast of the latest developments in their fields and also use their research to inform their teaching. We have a number of research collaborations with leading international universities including joint research centres. We welcome enquiries from researchers interested in joining us or collaborating with us, and also welcome applicants for research masters degrees or PhD study with our professors and research centres (see our Programmes page for details on our current masters and PhD programmes).

It also provides services to staff and higher level students of Sunway International School. Reciprocal borrowing privileges to Monash University Malaysia Library are extended to registered staff and students.
Occupying 22 acres of prime land in Bandar Sunway, Petaling Jaya, the campus is fully equipped with academic, hostel and sports facilities and is amongst the largest and most modern private institutions in Malaysia.

Nice campus and have a diversity of students. It id always crowded and lively at all time. Academically is nice and great. Cleanliness is great but sometimes the washroom is a little dirty during peak hours. Food price ok lahhh
Nice learning environment, good lecturer and student ratio. Students can always get quick response from lecturers or admins regarding any issues faced in campus. Sunway University is a learning institution that willing to spend big amount to upgrade their facilities either software or hardware. The school has its regular cleaning in every area in campus to make sure students and lecturers can study or work in a comfortable environment. The library of the campus is fantastic, large, quiet, lot of academic resources, cool and well managed, student can always get enough support from library to finish their project or assignment, there is also a nice place for student to prepare for their exam. Sunway University is located between sunway lagoon and sunway pyramid, students do not have to worry about food and entertainment, they can easily access to one of the famous shopping mall in Malaysia by canopy connecting campus and sunway pyramid.
I am a psychology degree student in Sunway University at Bandar Sunway. The study environment and facilities are top notch with good location and easy accessible to other places through BRT or canopy walk. Lecturers there are kind and friendly! There are many food options as well in campus and around campus. As a vegetarian myself, I find it easy to find vegetarian options in and around campus, not a problem.
