The International College of Management, Sydney (ICMS) is a higher education institution with campuses in Manly and Sydney’s business district. Founded in 1996, ICMS is a leader in career-focused, quality education and offers undergraduate bachelor’s and postgraduate master’s degrees to Australian and international students. 

History

  • Fondly known as “the castle on the hill”, the ICMS building is a Manly landmark dating back to the 19th Century. 
  • The imposing structure dominating the northern Sydney’s beachside suburb’s landscape won world-wide acclaim when it was built by the Catholic Church between 1885 and 1889.

  • ICMS degrees are at the same Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level as University degrees and are equal to University degrees on the AQF. ICMS degrees are recognised by various industry partners over the world.

Housing services

  • If you prefer self-catered student accommodation, then staying off-campus will give you the best of both worlds – you’ll be with your fellow students whilst enjoying flexibility and independence.
  • ICMS is able to offer our students the choice of either Claremount Beach House in the heart of Manly, or Wanganella House in the leafy streets of nearby Balgowlah.
  • The residence is comprised of two interconnected two-storey, semi-attached terraces which previously operated a popular Backpackers Hostel. 
  • It is located in one of the best areas of Manly, close to the world famous Manly beach, transport, ATMs, supermarkets, banks, cafes, restaurants and nightlife.

Medical services

  • Students and staff must take reasonable care of themselves and others; cooperate with actions taken to protect health and safety; seek information or advice from a staff member before performing new or unfamiliar tasks; report all health and safety accidents, incidents and hazards as soon as is practicable; and follow emergency evacuation procedures.

Campus life

  • ICMS offers everything that a traditional student experience provides, such as sporting teams, student clubs, campus facilities and on and off campus accommodation, but at ICMS you will get the attention and learning supoort to succeed academically. 
  • The iconic traditional sandstone Northern Beaches Campus, affectionately called the “castle on the hill”, offers sweeping views over Manly Beach, and contrasts with the modern, vibrant and centrally-located City Campus. Both offer spectacular study locations that would be hard to beat anywhere in the world.

Sports facilities

Students are drawn from all over the world to ICMS by the vibrant social community of ICMS. The diverse student body remains committed to staying connected via formal and informal social activities, both on and off campus. The Student Representative Council (SRC) in collaboration with the Student Experience Manager plays an active role in planning, organising, and facilitating these social activities. Social activities include:

Student clubs

  • The ICMS ARK Association (Acts of Random Kindness) is part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world and is associated with Rotary International. 
  • They work on a number of community fundraising events such as Starlight Foundation, Beyond Blue, Movember, Bear Cottage and many more fundraising events.
