You will start to see more branding with SIT and Te Pūkenga
A nationwide Te Pūkenga recruitment campaign for learners will be in place from August 2022. This campaign have the new Te Pūkenga look and feel but will co-branded with SIT and Te Pūkenga to show the relationship between the two, and that we are now part of a nation-wide Te Pūkenga whānau.
Education
Southern Institute of Technology (SIT) is a government accredited tertiary provider of NZQA programmes at certificate, diploma, bachelor degree and postgraduate level, with campuses in Invercargill, Queenstown, Christchurch and Gore. You can also study selected programmes online via SIT2LRN Distance Learning.

Student services
It's important that our students are able to access support when they need it in order to sucessfully complete their programmes with us. SIT offers a range of student support services which are available to students from all campuses including SIT2LRN Distance Learning students.
Learning Assistance Unit
The team will assist you with your study skills including; academic reading, writing assignments/essays, maths, concentration, time management, exam techniques, memory skills, note taking and more!
Employment Workshops for International StudentsLibrary services
The SIT Invercargill Library is the perfect place on campus to study or chill out. It has more than 25,000 books, 750,000 E-books, multiple online databases, and magazines, DVDs and novels.
Additional services include multi-function printers, wireless internet access and more than 20 computers for student use. There are also two group study rooms furnished with an overhead projector.
Medical services
To get the most out of your studies and time spent as a student, you need to be healthy, both physically and emotionally. Our Health & Wellbeing services provide free, friendly and confidential services to all students.
Campus life
At SIT, we have a range of campuses around New Zealand that offer or specialise in different programmes. We also have a Distance Learning faculty that empowers students by allowing them to study from anywhere.
