1945. Coming on the heels of a World War that lasted six years and one day, six local families in Pasadena, California came together and opened Pacific Oaks Children’s School with the belief that everyone has an inner light that is worth nurturing. Through the Quaker values of community, equality, and peace, they believed they could offer a progressive education that would help the world heal.

Student services
The primary goals of The Center for Academic Advising are to assist students with identifying and clarifying their educational goals, help in developing compatible educational plans, and create proven success strategies toward student long term academic progress. The Academic Advisors provide assistance with advising, course registration, program guidance, general questions, and additional academic support where needed.
Library services
The Library specializes in subjects related to human development across the life span, early childhood education and psychosocial development, special education, classroom curricula (K-12), social work, psychology, and marriage and family therapy. All Pacific Oaks students have access to the library’s print and electronic collections.
ICT services
The Office of Information Technology is here to provide you with technological support throughout your Pacific Oaks education, whether you are taking online or on-campus courses. we are here to help you set up your student email account, download syllabi posted by your professors, and begin using Canvas, our online learning platform.

The Pacific Oaks Pasadena campus is nestled in the scenic San Gabriel Valley, with world-class museums, art galleries, and theaters within walking distance so that you may experience the art and history of various cultures. Our Gold LEED Certified building is a spacious, modern structure, providing a welcoming learning setting for our students while supporting our commitment to environmental consciousness.

A very positive based institution
I have yet to proceed in the actual courses at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena California, but I am extremely enthused about this great yet humble institution of learning. I have been to the campus and I got this feeling of unity and yet there were in certain areas a still, solitudial shadow of Professional guidance. Right then and there I new Iwas where I was supposed to be. The student advisor has continued to give professional and warm as well as friendship extended of hand of help approach of guidance to me. This institution The Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena California is the Only Institution that clearly and distinctively offers Marriage and Family Therapy to include specialization in its individual Marriage and Family programs. I think I will find the tools here that I need to continue my learning experience. I would recommend this institution to whomever would seek an excellence in quality in the teaching of educational learning and advancement.
