History

Established to address a need for a more progressive and inclusive approach to early childhood education, Pacific Oaks College and Children’s School was founded to help individuals develop knowledge from within.

Student services

The primary goals of The Center for Academic Advising are to assist students with identifying and clarifying their educational goals, help in developing compatible educational plans, and create proven success strategies toward student long term academic progress. 

The center serves our students with:

  • Lending library of laptops and textbooks

Library services

The Library specializes in subjects related to human development across the life span, early childhood education and psychosocial development, special education, classroom curricula (K-12), social work, psychology, and marriage and family therapy. All Pacific Oaks students have access to the library’s print and electronic collections.

ICT services

The Office of Information Technology is here to provide you with technological support throughout your Pacific Oaks education, whether you are taking online or on-campus courses. we are here to help you set up your student email account, download syllabi posted by your professors, and begin using Canvas, our online learning platform. 

Campus life

Having campus locations in both Southern California and online allow Pacific Oaks College to maintain close ties to local organizations and businesses. 

The programs are built off of the needs of the surrounding community, and we encourage our students to take part in fieldwork opportunities that help serve those needs.

In addition, Pacific Oaks offers programs at offsite locations throughout California—providing access to a unique learning experience to students from a wide range of different backgrounds.

Student clubs

The Student Government Association is the official representation of the student body at Pacific Oaks College.
