History

Established in 2013 and evolved in 2018, the College is the first independent postgraduate education provider offering a wide range of qualifications from MSc to PhD and Professional Diploma level for dentists and healthcare professionals. Its collaboration with Ulster University enables them to offer a wide range of career progression opportunities.

Research

The MSc students learn Research Methodology in a multidisciplinary environment during the courses and complete three research modules. Students learn to critically think and appraise published research, and conduct a research project that culminate in their final dissertation. Students choose their research topic which could be a Mini-Systematic Review, Observational or Experimental Study.

Career

We work with the biggest dental and healthcare provider groups in the UK allowing us to offer employment opportunities during and on completion of their studies. We ensure our students get the most out of their time at CoMD, gaining valuable knowledge, transferable skills and intercultural competencies so they leave as well-rounded professionals with a competitive edge.

"My Journey Through Medical School"

The FMHCMD, which is known for its academic excellence, quality of training, and supportive environment, offers a variety of medical degree programs. The thing I was most attracted to was their deep concern for their students. They provided us with the opportunity for various extracurricular activities to participate in and gain exposure to different aspects of our student life. Moreover, they expose us to clinical rotations to get hands-on experience in addition to our course material, where we are trained by professionals and specialists in the relevant subject. The thing that requires improvement is the expansion of study spaces for students. Currently, there are only two to three rooms available for self-study, including the library, and classrooms are not always open to students. Moreover, more space can be dedicated to collaborative areas, enhancing interdisciplinary research and innovation. My overall study experience in a medical college has been quite challenging, rewarding, and enthusiastic, as study life in a medical college is a blend of rigorous academic training, hands-on clinical practice, personal growth, commitment to work, robust co-curricular activities, and collaborative learning. Participating in community outreach programs, co-curricular activities, and interdisciplinary collaboration has broadened my perspective and strengthened my devotion to the medical profession. Despite the intensity, the sense of camaraderie among my fellow students and support from dedicated faculty have made my journey manageable and inspiring. Overall, my student life at the medical university has been a journey of growth, pushing my limits, and preparing me to become a competent and compassionate healthcare professional.
