Oppurtunities and pursuing passion
When I applied for the German Jordanian University, I had no idea that I would end up working in my dream field. I initially pursued Mechanical engineering out of passion but was never sure which field within it attracted me the most, and during my studies in GJU I was exposed to so many branches of Mechanical engineering that each semester guided me closer to my passion. When I reached the mandatory exchange year in Germany, I had already known what kind of mandatory internships I wanted to pursue and after that I was lucky enough to have found my Graduation project oppurtunity with the same company I interned in, which was BMW. Right now, after graduating, I am working as an automotive design engineer, which was the path that was paved for me by my experience studying in GJU. It all led to this point and I couldn't be more grateful.

A Rewarding and Growth-Focused Academic Experience
Overall, my study experience has been both academically enriching and personally transformative. The programme provided a solid balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application, which helped me develop a deeper understanding of my field. I particularly appreciated the supportive learning environment, the accessibility of lecturers, and the opportunity to collaborate with students from diverse backgrounds. These interactions broadened my perspective and strengthened my communication and teamwork skills.
One of the highlights was the emphasis on critical thinking and independent research. Assignments and projects challenged me to go beyond memorisation and truly engage with the subject matter. The academic resources, including the library and online platforms, were also very helpful.
In terms of improvement, more industry exposure—such as guest lectures, internships, or networking events—would further enhance the programme and better prepare students for the job market. Additionally, slightly more flexibility in assessment methods could help accommodate different learning styles.
Overall, my experience has been positive and fulfilling. It has not only strengthened my academic foundation but also contributed significantly to my personal and professional growth.
