History
The University of Management (VŠM) was established by Act of the National Council of the Slovak Republic No. 286/1999 Coll. as the first non-state university on 1 December 1999.
The first rector of the School of Management was Dr.hc Prof. MUDr. Branislav Lichardus, DrSc.
Since 2014, the rector of the School of Management has been Dr.hc Prof. Ing. Edita Hekelová, PhD.
Research
The research carried out at the School of Management is one of the proofs of the systematic efforts of the school for its qualitative growth. It is closely connected with the areas of education it provides and contributes to increasing the quality of study programmes into which the research results are reflected. The research covers economics from its theoretical foundations to specific problems of business management, including business knowledge management, as well as other supporting disciplines (mathematics, computer science, psychology, etc.).
ICT services
In the building of the Bratislava School of Management, there are two computer laboratories available for students, which serve for teaching and school work of students, whether full-time or part-time.
