History

Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC) began in 1923 as part of the Kansas City, Kansas public schools. Over the years, KCKCC has experienced growth, expanding its academic programs, workforce training, and student support services while remaining committed to providing affordable and accessible education.

Education

Students come to KCKCC to earn an associate degree or certificate in more than 70 programmes. The college offers specialized programs in areas such as advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and information technology, providing students with hands-on experience and industry-recognized credentials.

Student housing has 258 beds. Rooms are typically assigned by gender.

Apartment-style housing. Living room, kitchen, bathroom, and separate bedrooms in each apartment.
Bedroom furniture includes, twin bed, closet, storage drawers, a desk, and a chair
Living room furniture includes a couch, a coffee table, an entertainment stand, and two counter-height stools.
Kitchen area includes a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and cooktop.
Free laundry facilities on premises.

Students will take classes on the main campus 7250 State Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas 66112. The area is home to local and ethnic grocery stores, shopping centers, and financial institutions. Professional sports include Sporting Kansas City, a major league soccer club, the Kansas City Mavericks, a professional hockey team, the Kansas City Comets, an indoor soccer team, the Kansas City Chiefs, an NFL football team, the Kansas City Royals, a Major League Baseball team, and the Kansas City Monarchs, a Professional baseball team in the American Association.
