The University of Wales Trinity Saint David

The University Wales Lampeter Group includes Coleg Sir Gâr and Coleg Ceredigion as part of a dual sector group structure comprising further education colleges and the university. The UWTSD Group has over 25,000 learners across 17 campuses in rural and city locations. Together we deliver clear, tangible benefits for learners, employers, industry and communities by offering a vocational approach from entry level to post-doctoral research.

The University’s Royal Charter is the oldest of any university in Wales and England after the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge. Our Lampeter campus was founded in 1822 and received its Royal Charter from King George IV in 1828. The Carmarthen campus was the first centre for teacher training in Wales established in 1848.

At the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, we offer a wide range of academic and professional programmes at both Undergraduate andPostgraduate levels.

With our partners in the UWTSD group, we offer progression routes from Further Education right through to Post-Doctoral study.

The University’s research covers engineering, social science, arts and humanities disciplines. Striving to be engaged, always innovative, it’s often interdisciplinary and collaborative in nature. Through our research partnerships we influence economic, cultural and social landscapes at national, European and international levels by delivering benefits for business, government and communities.

The Careers Service is available to all students and graduates of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. From the day you arrive, and throughout your studies and beyond, our professionally qualified Careers Advisers are here all year round to support you in making informed decisions about your next steps and in maximising your potential and employability.

Student services

Deciding where to study in another country is a huge decision, and is one that really will change your life! Not only is it an opportunity for you to get an international perspective on your studies, you'll also learn about a different culture, history and way of life.

All international students are able to access the support provided by Student Services.

Housing services

If you are planning to live away from home whilst at University, accommodation is probably top of your list of concerns. All three of our main campuses have on-site ‘halls’ or student accommodation, with many of these rooms prioritised for first year students.

We have a range of different types of accommodation available, all offering a safe and secure but independent ‘home away from home’ while you study.

Living in residential halls puts you at the heart of student life, and students in our accommodation benefit from a wide variety of on campus services.

There are also plenty of options to find private rented accommodation if you prefer, either in privately run student halls or in private rented accommodation.
