History
The university is named after the Spanish-Peruvian politician Pablo de Olavide (1725–1803), who contributed notably to planning the city of Seville.
Research
Pablo de Olavide University has competitive research groups and research centers which collaborate at the national and international levels. The University placed second in Research Productivity in the 2013 ranking of public Spanish universities and stands out in Andalusia for its teaching productivity.
Housing services
The International center offers lodging with Spanish host families with full board. The Center feels that this is the best way to learn about Spanish culture and traditions and practice and improve language skills. All the families have been carefully chosen and will do their best to make you feel at home and enjoy your stay.
