SeAMK was founded in 1992 through a merger of various institutes, each of which had a history of up to more than 100 years.
Education
The comprehensive education offer in six fields of education, combined with high-quality research, development and innovation services, enables SeAMK to be effective regionally, nationally and internationally.
Research
The RDI (research, development and innovation) activities of SeAMK are focused on multidisciplinary core expertise areas, which are congruent with the strategic focal areas of the University Consortium of South Ostrobothnia. The staff of International Mobility Services, Student Services, representatives of the Student Union SAMO, Student Pastor and staff of Student Health Care Services are here to guide you during your studies. You will also get help from your fellow students, teachers, tutors and the personnel of SeAMK. Don’t hesitate to ask for advice!
Library services
Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences Library is a university library open to everyone. Library collections include professional and scholarly literature and journals on several subject areas both in printed and electronic form. The library produces services and acquires resources for students, teachers and researchers at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences.
Medical services
Health care services for degree students are provided by the Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS)
The Finnish Student Health Service (FSHS) is providing student health care services to all university students in Finland. The university student’s health care fee is paid to Kela.
Campus life
- The operations of SeAMK are mainly located on the SeAMK Campus in the Frami area in the city of Seinäjoki.
- The entire Frami area constitutes a unique study and work place. Multidisciplinary cooperation between the teaching and RDI activities of the different fields will increase, and the opportunities to deepen cooperation with companies will improve further. Our close cooperation with the University Consortium of Seinäjoki will also find new forms.

Good
My study experience in hospitality has been good and enjoyable. I learned many new skills, including customer service, communication, and teamwork. I really liked the practical activities and learning about the hospitality industry. One thing that can be improved is having more practical training and industry experiences. Overall, my study experience has been useful and helped me improve my skills and confidence for my future career in hospitality.

The university system is best. I am so lucky to get the chance to this university. There is good interaction between students and lecturers. The teachers are so friendly. But I would like to give one suggestion that university should organize the graduation program.
