Its distinctive features and character owe much to its unique history and heritage. Maynooth University was formally established as an autonomous university as recently as 1997, yet traces its origins to the foundation of the Royal College of St. Patrick in 1795, making it, simultaneously, Ireland’s youngest university and one of its oldest educational institutions.

Accommodation close to the conference site in Maynooth is available at special delegate rates (a lot of rooms have been held but this is not unlimited so we advise you to book early especially if you wish to avail of the mid-priced options).

Clubs and Societies are the lifeblood of student activity on campus. Clubs (Sporting) and Societies (Non-Sporting) are groups run by students for the benefit of their fellow students. The University Capitation Committee, which has staff and students members, oversees the administration and funding of all officially recognised clubs and societies on campus.

Such an amazing college with extremely helpful staff and an amazing campus. The psychology department were incredible throughout my 4 years at Maynooth University. It is because of this department that I have been inspired to continue along to this career path to study a masters in Psychological science. The facilities are brilliant and there is always space to do work
In my opinion maynooth is a great university with a spacious campus and great facilities. Lecture halls are big and can hold a lot of people, a lot of clubs and societies for your interests and hobbies.
I am a part time postgrad student, which suits my situation perfectly. The lecturers are responsive for the most part and have been very helpful thoughout my time there so far. It's a good university and I would recommend it to others!
