North Dakota’s only medical school admits 78 students per year into its four-year program. We also offer graduate degrees in Basic Sciences.
HistoryOur first class of students earned Bachelor of Science in Medicine (BSMed) degrees in 1909. In 1976, the School transitioned to a four-year Medical Doctor (MD) program.
AdmissionsToday the medical school admits more than 75 students each year: 80 percent from North Dakota, 10 percent from Minnesota and another 10 percent from WICHE-participating states (Montana and Wyoming).
