Dublin International Foundation College

Dublin International Foundation College (DIFC) offers international students a pathway to study in leading universities. But it’s more than a pathway. We go beyond other foundation programmes – helping you to grow as a person and as a thinker, providing an experience that will stay with you for life.

History

Dublin International Foundation College (DIFC) was set up in 1999 to deliver specialised foundation courses preparing international students for entrance into partner universities in Ireland and the UK. Both undergraduate and postgraduate level programmes are taught and students who successfully complete these are placed in a wide-variety of Higher Education courses.

Research

Housing services

Finding suitable student accommodation can be difficult and there are a range of options available from on-campus, student accommodation apartments and homestay.

To make sure you get the accommodation you prefer, the best option is to book as early as possible – as student accommodation is in high demand in Ireland.

On-campus accommodation is available with Griffith Halls of Residence. This must be booked directly with GHR via their website.

Library services

The Dublin International Foundation College provides an extensive library for its students.

ICT services

The Dublin International Foundation College provides 8 computer labs with 500 computers.

Campus life

The DIFC Dublin campus is just a 15 minute walk from Dublin city centre, DIFC is situated on a 7-acre campus which is shared by two other colleges. In total, there are currently 5,000 students on campus, studying on a full and part-time basis.

Sports facilities

DIFC students are able to benefit from the many sports facilities and clubs offered on campus by our partners Griffith College Dublin. You can join one of the 8 sports clubs or use the facilities of the Sports Centre.
