Husson University, a private institution of higher education in Bangor, Maine, recognizes the importance of faculty and student scholarship in the life of the institution. These activities are facilitated by the Office of Research and Scholarship which provides a number of services and functions for the university community.
One of the functions of the Office is the organization and support of the Annual Student Research and Scholarship Day to celebrate the accomplishments of our students. Undergraduate and graduate students present posters describing their work, along with other activities to highlight the diverse array of scholarly activity undertaken by these students.
Husson Career Services helps students and alumni make informed career decisions, connect with employers, pursue further education, and develop their professional lives and goals. We do this through providing guidance on careers, majors, internships, job search, graduate school advising, using social media, and much more.

The mission of the W. Tom and Bonnie Sawyer Library is to make available the informational resources that are most appropriate to the degree programs at Husson. There are acquired resources suitable for introductory-level course work as well as advanced and professional-level scholarship. It is also provided instruction in the use of these resources.
There is high speed Internet in each residence hall room, which can be accessed through the Wi-Fi system or by connecting through the Ethernet ports. All students are provided with a campus email account as well.
The mission of Student Health Services is to provide high quality, inexpensive, convenient health care and resources to students in order to sustain a healthy campus, and ultimately greater academic success at Husson University.
Some of the services offered are:Husson University's primary campus (208-acres) is located in Bangor, Maine, a city of approximately 30,000 people, a short drive from the Maine coasts, forests, and mountains. Approximately 250 miles north of Boston and 250 miles east of Quebec City, Bangor has one of the lowest urban crime rates in the United States.
A member of the NCAA Division III, Husson offers 18 varsity sports and intramurals using state-of-the-art facilities, including the Swan Center & Trott Fitness Studio, the Winkin Sports Complex, John P. Boucher Field, and Bob & Fran O'Keefe Softball Field. More than 400 athletes participate in intercollegiate athletics, with more than 600 students taking part in our intramural program.
There are dozens of student clubs and organizations, mostly professional, such as Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), Student Government, The English Society, Accounting Society, Criminal Justice Club, OPTS (Organization of Physical Therapy Students), OOTS (Organization of Occupational Therapy Students), the Organization of Student Nurses, Outdoors Club, Student Newspaper, Husson University Theatre, GAMERS, GBLT on RYE, Technology Club, Student Veterans Association, Running Club, Ski & Snowboard Club, Pep Band, Audio Engineering Society, and Cru. The University also owns WHSN 89.3 FM, an alternative rock station operated by the New England School of Communications.
