Business & Management (1)

Manhattan College was founded in 1853 by the Brothers of the Christian Schools, a Catholic teaching order started by Saint John Baptist de La Salle. The Lasallian mission drives our focus on quality education for all and service to our neighbors in need. Our picturesque campus is located in The Bronx, a 35-minute subway ride from the heart of Manhattan.

The mission of Manhattan College is to provide a contemporary, person-centered educational experience that prepares graduates for lives of personal development, professional success, civic engagement, and service to their fellow human beings.

The College pursues this mission through programs that integrate a broad liberal education with concentration in specific disciplines in the arts and sciences or with professional preparation in business, education and engineering.

Manhattan College is ranked as one of the top schools in the nation for having graduates that get jobs and earn high salaries. Career preparation starts freshman year and continues past graduation with our career services for students and alumni.

Student services

The Business Services Office oversees the several operational and contract services on campus, including the bookstore, mail room and print shop, conference services, dining, housekeeping, purchasing and telecommunications.

Housing services

We offer a variety of housing options to choose from and undergraduate housing is guaranteed for all four years.

Each of our residence halls has a resident director, a staff member who coordinates residence life programming and oversees the resident assistants, better known as RAs. RAs are students, typically upperclassmen, who live on each floor of the hall and serve as a liaison and resource for the residents. RAs plan regular activities, like game night and trips to popular New York City destinations, to create a bonded community on their floor.

ICT services

ITS facilities and services include:

  • 15 computer labs with more than 450 computers across campus
  • 24/7 computer lab available in the library
  • Specialized labs featuring: CAD/CAM workstations, digital audio/video editing, graphic arts software, math/statistical packages (Maple, MathCad, MatLab, SPSS) and compilers  (C++, Visual C++, Visual Basic, Visual J ++, Fortran)

Medical services

Our on-campus Health Services office is staffed by medical providers who can diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries, or help you with a referral to a local hospital or medical practice to care for more serious illnesses and injuries. Health Services also manages the required health records each student must provide.
