Housing services

Living on campus is one of the most significant experiences students will have at Coastal Carolina University. Traditionally, students spend more time in their residential community than anywhere else on campus. In their new homes they are challenged and educated by the cultural, diverse and intellectual exchanges that surround them daily.

Library services

The Kimbel Library and Bryan Information Commons serve as a vibrant, student-centered intellectual gathering place offering portals to information and ideas that enhance learning and research for a successful, engaging and diverse community of learners.

Campus life

TEAL Nation is the collective notion of excellence, integrity and tradition that reflects who we are as individuals and a community. Coastal Carolina University is an exciting, ever-changing place in which students can learn, grow, socialize and become part of something bigger.

Sports facilities

Our students fill the baseball stands at Spring Brooks Stadium, the home of the 2016 NCAA College World Series champions, pack Brooks Stadium to watch football, and visit the HTC Center to catch a basketball or volleyball game. Our “Chantourage” supports all 19 NCAA Division I teams, which also includes soccer, tennis and lacrosse. And for students who want to get in on the athletic action, there are dozens of intramural and club sports – from rugby to field hockey to surfing. Coastal even has its own rock climbing wall and a disc golf course.

Student clubs

With more than 190 student clubs and organizations to join, there is no shortage of ways for students to get involved on campus in areas that interest them most. The Office of Student Life is the gateway for involvement opportunities, leadership development and exciting entertainment. Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services gives students ways to embrace and share what makes them unique, because while our students are all a part of Teal Nation, they are all also unique individuals who hail from almost every state across the U.S. and from several countries around the world.

Accreditation

The E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, and the Spadoni College of Education is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) and is approved by the South Carolina Department of Education.

Life on a dry campus

Great medium sized school with a beautiful campus. I would definitely recommend. This school does have a 2 year live on requirement, this means you have to live on campus for freshman and sophomore year. The dorms are nice and mostly new and updated. It is a dry campus so no alcohol is allowed even if you are over twenty one. But it's a good school and not too southern. It's a predominately white school. The resources on campus are great for current students and alumni.

Lots of support for students with additional needs

This is a really great college that works with you to help you achieve any goal you have. I have several learning disabilities (dyslexia and math discalculia) and didn't think that I would ever be able to go to college, but COCC went above and beyond to accommodate me. COCC has encouraged me and kept me on track even when I wanted to give up. I recommend this college for anyone.

Excellent School for Affordable Cost

I'm really enjoying my time at the College of Coastal Georgia. They are part of the University System of Georgia and offer a rigorous and diverse curriculum. They also over several sports teams and clubs for students to join. The college is relatively small but growing exponentially. Because they are up and coming they have access to all of the latest and greatest resources. The classes are small enough to guarantee ample one on one time with your professer, and the college is very affordable. I feel as though I am gaining the advantages of a larger well known university for a fraction of the price. I initially thought I would probably transfer for my major, but I am currently planning to stay with CCGA.
