History

Since 1966, Centennial College has been setting students up for success. It's been over 50 years, and in that time, a share of students become proud Centennial alumni. The meaning of success is different for every person, but all of them share the common theme of working to towards a goal, with the college supporting them every step of the way.

Education

Our mission is to educate students for career success. We make every decision to support the career and personal development of our learners. Our curriculum, teaching and services also demonstrate that we value the diverse profiles of our learners.

Research

Research at Centennial is focused on providing practical solutions to industry and community challenges. We take advantage of our faculty’s expertise and our students’ skills to innovate, solve problems, and advance the research and development goals of our partners. Through this approach, we are able to contribute to economic and social development, keep our academic programming up-to-date and relevant, and provide meaningful experiential learning opportunities to our students.

Career

The Career Services and Co-operative Education Department connects employers and job seekers with the right tools and services, in order to promote industry growth and career success.

The Career Services team gives students and graduates the confidence and tools for career success, from the first semester to beyond graduation. We put every effort into ensuring students have access to the resources they need to launch or jump start their career.

Student services

The Student Experience Office (SEO) achieves our commitment to Make a Bigger Promise to students by providing conflict and conduct management services rooted in deep transformative educational approaches that enhance student learning, student persistence, and student-community development.

Housing services

Centennial College wants all international students to feel welcome and comfortable in their new home away from home. There are many options available to students, including Centennial Residence or living off campus with other students or on your own.

Many places, like the Residence, ask for money in advance such as a deposit. Please take the time to read your housing contract carefully to ensure you are meeting the contract requirements in a timely manner. You should have your accommodation arranged prior to arrival, which means all required fees are paid and you have received confirmation. Be sure to visit our Housing Tips page for some important information to get you started.

Library services

We are committed to providing accessible library services, spaces and collections. 

ICT services

 The IT Service Desk is a service where students can turn to get assistance with Centennial IT issues and inquiries. The IT Service Desk is comprised of a number of individuals who specialize in over-the-phone, email, and remote technical support. You can also reach the desk from any on-campus computer lab telephone. 

Medical services

As a Centennial student, you have access to health coverage. guard.me provides international student coverage and We Speak Student provides domestic student coverage. 

Campus life

  • Progress is home to the Schools of Business and Hospitality, Tourism and Culinary Arts. Here you’ll also find Advanced Manufacturing and Automation Engineering Technology programs, as well as many Child Studies and Community Service programs
  • Nestled in the Rouge Valley Conservation Area, the Morningside Campus is an environmentally friendly building home to the School of Community and Health Studies, as well as selected Engineering Technology and Applied Science programs
  • Ashtonbee is one of the largest automotive training centres in Canada. It’s also home to selected Community and Health Studies programs.
  • The Story Arts Centre is a cutting-edge campus for the arts, and the perfect place to tap into your creativity

campus life

I liked the community at my school because it was very diverse. All of my professors were so helpful and understanding. They were very supportive in the classes. The campus was very engaging, and they always had booths for students to keep students excited about campus life.
