St. Ambrose University has come a long way since it began as a seminary and school of commerce for young men in 1882.
Over more than a century, countless students destined to influence the world have walked our halls. Long-time traditions took root and live on today.

Library services
The St. Ambrose University Library selects, organizes, and maintains print and electronic resources that support the curriculum and information needs of our campus community.
We contribute to the educational mission of St. Ambrose University by teaching library use and strategies for independent learning and providing an environment that encourages study.
Medical services
Health Services is staffed by a registered nurse who provides free and confidential care for students and employees.
The nurse will assess the health needs of clients and make appropriate referrals whenever necessary.
Campus life
St. Ambrose University is located in Davenport, Iowa, part of the Quad Cities – a bi-state (Iowa and Illinois) metropolitan area situated on the only major stretch of the Mississippi River that runs from east to west.
Sports facilities
- Get involved in campus-wide intramural (competitive and recreational sports), as well as club sports, fitness, and wellness programs.
