Postgraduate Research

For students in the North East, outside of Dublin, DkIT is a great option. The campus and facilities are to a good standard. There are many courses and some opportunities for further study at postgraduate level. I conducted 2-3 years of Masters research having completed my undergraduate degree.

Dundalk University College

DKIT became a University in 2026 and their classroom are structured into small groups where they have a policy for students who may want to walk before they talk. All the lectures supported me and wanted me to do well. The lectures are very thorough and extensive with extra reading to be done. Also, the lecturers gives reasonable accommodation to allow for my assignments deadline requirements. Extra support is available for academic study and computers from the learning centre and there is numerous social clubs and sports clubs you can join to meet people.

Hidden gem for computer science in Ireland

I'm shocked this place isn't the most sought after college in Ireland for computer science. The facilities, content and staff are brilliant. Nothing pretentious and lots of great friends were made during my time here.
